Role: Senior Compliance Auditor

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical compliance Auditor to join our team.

The Auditor will be responsible for examining financial records, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations, and providing insights to enhance operational efficiency.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement compliance programs aligned with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Review and recommend updates to company policies to enhance regulatory compliance and risk mitigation.
  • Conduct audits of financial statements, records, and internal controls to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Examine accounting systems and operational procedures for adherence to internal and external standards.
  • Investigate and document non-compliance issues, assessing associated risks to the organization.
  • Identify compliance risks and inefficiencies across financial, operational, and regulatory functions.
  • Recommend corrective actions and improvements to strengthen internal controls and mitigate risks.
  • Monitor the implementation of audit recommendations to ensure timely remediation.
  • Prepare and present detailed audit and compliance reports to management.
  • Track compliance activities and maintain documentation in accordance with internal audit protocols.
  • Collect, analyze, and summarize compliance data for periodic management reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory, legal, and policy requirements across the organization.
  • Monitor expenses and support cost-saving initiatives to maintain financial compliance.
  • Provide support during external audits by ensuring timely responses and documentation readiness.
  • Stay current on regulatory changes, industry standards, and best practices in auditing and compliance.
  • Report directly to the Chief Internal Auditor (CIA) and support organization-wide compliance initiatives.

 

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications such as ACA, ACCA is an added advantage.
  • Proven experience as an Auditor or in a related role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, auditing standards, and relevant regulations.
  • Proficiency in financial software (SAP, QuickBooks, Sage, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
